LAHORE: After over eight hours of efforts by rescue teams, the fire that broke out in the basement of a plaza in New Anarkali has successfully been controlled.
The fire engulfed over 26 shops in the basement and two on the ground floor.
The shopkeepers also helped contributed in putting out the fire.
The fire broke out due to a short circuit in one of the shops in the basement. Eight fire brigades were sent to the site to extinguishing the fire.
