ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that his government was making it a priority to focus on the development of Sindh especially the rural areas.
A Sindh delegation, headed by Thatta’s National Assembly Member Syed Ayaz Ali Shah Shirazi, called on Sharif at the PM House.
The premier said that major development projects including the Sukkur to Multan Motorway, the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway and several other priority projects regarding energy provision had been initiated by the government as a gift to the people of Sindh.
He added that the government was particularly focusing on transport projects in Karachi including the Green Line Mass Transit project, the Karachi Circular Railway and the Lyari Expressway as the city was the country’s economic hub.
He advised the delegation to work diligently for the social uplift of the province especially the people living in rural areas who required special attention.
